Well... the weekend is over, what did you accomplish?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by SanDiegoJoe, Jun 17, 2007.

  1. I drove my car about 200 miles this weekend, spent saturday at the LA Roadster show and hung out with friends eating tri-tip and drinking beer.
A typical Socal weekend, gotto love it.

Left Friday on a 950 mile round trip to drop off a '56 Dodge parts car to NorthCoastGreaser and pick up a '60 Belvedere parts car on the way back. Real happy with the '60, has cherry doors to use on my '60 Fury 2 door conversion, which I've been holding off on since my donor stuff was so rough.

Spent Sunday with the parents for Father's day.

I got the frame finally all boxed and finished off all the fab welding. Started to get the frame ready for paint!

I sure wish I was farther along - this car is taking for ever!

  7. Ken, good job on the headers, I would run them down.

  8. Lets see....

    Sold the 87 S10 with the V8
Bought the 85' S10...which is going to be the daily.

Got my new rad for the 49'
Made new mounts for the new radiator.
    Finished the new trans tunnel
Finished up the welding on the new p***enger quarterpanel and skim coated it in bondo, then sanded that off....and skimmed it again. At least one part of the car is going to be straight.
Filled in the holes in the floor from the old pedals and welded up a bunch of holes in the firewall
Wired the OD on the transmission
Sorted out the charging system issue
Cut off the ghetto battery tray and started building a new one.

Drug home a 52 Ford pick up Saturday and rested from it on Sunday. Hey Big Ken, looks like things are moving along nicely. Can you do an update with more pics on your car? Would love to see 'em. Thanks.

I'd have to see a picture of the whole mock-up... but as it looks there in those pix, I'd vote for down.
