Don't know what happened. What I'd say was yes the SU's are not that hard, as long as they're not leaking air. Love them.
fuel injected motor 30 over with the dual SU carbs 4to 1 header into 2 1/2 flowmaster with 4.10 gears and he isnt kinding about indestructible , run volvo motors this motor to 6500-7000 all the time it loves it , not bad for a 2.0 motor , now i just have to save for the supercharger a guy in syracuse builds for the volvos
Love the old Volvos. Morehead Auto Sales in upstate N.Y. ran one back in the sixties; and I've heard recently that they still have it. It was a national record holder in like X stock or something. He used to beat my buddies '63 max wedge on a pretty regular basis! Also saw one racing a long time ago out of Mexico, it had the hood modded with two rectangular scoops like a '65 Comet FX'er. Looked great, and so does yours!
Like cars that are are 'different' and still fit into the rodding world. Rover (UK) built a similar style car in 1949-59. They were the Rover P4... 60,75 and 90, the 75 had a single driving light in the centre of the grill and was called the 'Cyclops' because of it. There's been a few of them rodded downunder too. Cheers, Glen.
going to look them up and see if they still have it , looks like they are in newburgh which is`2 and a half hours south of me i live up near syracuse
