I went to an Estate sale today and saw some V8 60 intakes for sale. I started talking to one of the guys there and he told me the Estate belonged to the guy who casts the “Anderson “ brand of intakes, he also produced some nice flywheels for the V8 60s too. He is in Salem Oregon. Just thought it was cool, and thought I would share. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
The man who developed those parts was Gordon Anderson, he was a great guy, and built beautiful stuff.
@Aaron D. how old is that ad...it looks vintage but the price seems near current...just curious...Hope you got something...thanks for sharing... Those are very admirable accomplishments Gordon Andersen...
Yes, RIP. What became of the foundry casting patterns for the manifold? Were they present at the sale? Wonder if he started with an existing manifold, cleaned it up and added the lettering vs. starting from scratch with 100% new design?
The foundry is in Salem, they also do casting for Gene Benson (Flat-O-Products) and did the casting for Ken Austin. Don't know what became of the patterns.
Don't know how old the add is. I did get a few other items at the sale, 28-29 lower cowl, T steering wheel, T rear spring.
I shouldn't have assumed Gordon passed, he has had health problems for some time now. Here is his Dragster from '63.
That’s not an add that’s the price list for the sale. It’s brand new, at a glance it looks old but that font is newer and look have clean the Images are printed
My apologies for assuming Gordon has left us...I have to remember Estate Sale may just indicate a milestone in a Journey that still is in motion...Gordon may you have many more good years Hotrodder... I have edited my post...
Thanks Marty...man I sure mucked that up...Double Apologies Gordon... Hey Hoodlums, are any of you running this 2x2 on your Flatties?...
