I was cold by the MSP airport this last weekend, I always seem to have a good breeze blowing for there.
Did you see the dummy on the news that went for a Super Bowl halftime run on Sunday without shoes or a coat? Docs say might lose some feet or maybe just toes! -17f out!

Sure, its freezing now. Anyone remember that for the entire month of december it was doom & gloom on the nightly news; global warming, no snow, ice shelf melting, blah, blah, blah. I hate the news media.

Well, it's probably not the COLDEST spot on Earth, but here in Miserable Michigan it was a balmy 8 degrees yesterday morning with -16 degree wind chills as I lay in the snow in a parking lot popping a tie rod back on and safety-wiring it to get me up the road to the muffler joint on the corner! Had to take my gloves off for a few seconds to work the wire and one finger froze instantly! Couldn't feel it for about twenty minutes (driving to the repair shop with that fingertip in the heater duct!)

But...the old heap coughs and sputters to life every morning with a few pumps and a couple tries...even with no choke at all after sitting out in below zero weather all night!

It's inhumanely cold here...but that's just part of life in Michigan. We'll get our four days of Summer in late June or early July, before August brings the frost again!

Glad to see you guys to the east finally got it. That cold has been sitting here on me since Christmas. Yesterday was the first day this year it actually got up to low 30s. We've been below 0 for at least part of the day for a damned month now. And that's not counting the wind chill. It's 23 out there right now with a 5 to 10 mph breeze out of the north and it feels like summer compared to what we've had the last month. Guys here at work are going out for their smoke breaks in short sleve shirts. It's all what you're adjusted to I guess.

I'd like to know where this damned "Global" place is. I'd move there. My formerly frostbitten fingers and toes don't do well when it gets below 0.

Got a foot of snow here in east central IL. yesterday. I think the high is supposed to be 15 today. Talked to Plowboy this morning and he said there's a 4 foot drift the entire length of his driveway.
