Good enough offer to move a family from Ontario Canada Steve? Always wanted to live the dream, just need to be able to support a family after we both leave great jobs in a stable country. Send the details if you don't mind.

The Mexican food would be almost enough PAY

In 2010, the wife and I were at the Limeworks party before the LA Roadster show. The folks that were catering the MEXICAN food ... had the BEST MEXICAN food I have ever had :D :D

I would love to work there but can't

    1 ) I live in South Carolina
    2 ) I am most likely too old :(
3 ) I am possibly the next to worse welder on the HAMB.
    4 ) I can do machinest work ( or did ) ...
But my eyesight is not good enough now for close work.

This was shot at the 2010 Limeworks party ...
    THANKS Steve :) :D

Good luck Steve! Hope you find the right fabricator.

Thanks for all the replies & concerns over music choices !!! :)
Just to clarify the situation a little. We have our own way of building cars & our own "style " of cars we build , not an ego thing just I know what I like & so far our customers/friends seem to agree. For this reason I'm looking for a younger person 20's to mid /late thirties, that does have experience but not "set in his ways" No disrespect to anyone but if you've owned your own business in the past or maybe worked for a main stream shop it will be difficult to change your "style" . Also if your currently working in a well paid maybe union style job , don't think you can make great money building hot rods. I'm a tool-maker by trade with an Engineering back ground, I could make a load more money doing that but I enjoy what I do & who I work with & for.
Again I'm not trying to be an *** but reality bites & California is a tough place to do business in . I love what I do , we have a great time with fantastic customers & that is enough for me. We do give medical coverage like a real job :) & I think I'm an easy guy to work for/with (I am in the shop working too ) but I do take it seriously. We have an excellent reputation & I intend to keep that.
So a p***ion for building Hot Rods with natural mechanical ability & a willingness to learn is what were after. I hope I made myself clear , it's not easy to put into words what I believe. Once again thanks again for all the comments & calls.

    Hey,

Are the "Greatest Hits by Milli Vanilli" being played backwards so the hidden messages can be gleaned from them? and...................................... Britney Spears makes music:confused:

' wish I could be retrained...........my wife has been trying for decades:D

Good luck with your search Steve , for competent help.

Well we have our new guy , Jose will be starting in a week, the Model A roadster he's currently building is very trad pre 1937 style & he's in his early 20's !!. Thanks so much for all the interest & comments. Especially the interest in our music selection :) Onward & Upward.

None of what you say is out of line or unreasonable. Any way you can give an idea of the hourly wage you pay for the position ?

  13. Congratulations to Jose , sounds like he's off to a great start in the 'rodding world . I wish him the very best .
