So I just found out my only friend through high school that was into hot rods just died. At the age of 22 I just dont really have friends my age into old cars. and i just happen to lose the one I loved the most that was. We was the outcast in school because our cars were loud and a little beat up with age. We stuck together since we was 12, until today. I know we all lose people, I've just never lost anyone so close, since ive only lived where I do now for 13 years hes definately stuck in for the long hual. All I can do is just tell stories now. I just wish things didnt end the way they do. I know some older folk rely on us younger guys to carry on what we do, but things like this just hurt, I'll just have to work harder.fficeffice" /><O></O> hes the long haired fellow beside me, and his c10 we raised a lot of hell in
ahh another spot the wonder truck. I've had a lot of fun and growing pains in those. Sorry for your loss.
Some how or another, from what I heard he was under a semi truck working on it (apparently with no wheels), and the jacks failed and crushed him. This all just happened in the last couple hours so I havent heard much
Really hate it brother, wrench to his memory. I have something on my car to the memory of an old school buddy of mine, no one else knows and puts a grin on my face when I cruise. Thoughts and prayers to you and his family.
Words sometimes fail to truly express one's thoughts and feelings, but yours spoke clearly. I am sorry for your friend's loss of life at such a young age and the pain you are exeriencing. Ray
Oh dear. That's a terrible tragedy. Again...very very sorry. Some will tell you to be "strong". I say cry your eyes out...allow yourself to grieve...it's the natural thing, and the first step to emotional healing. All the best to you.
You know I feel like I got it rough because I just lost a great friend, but he just got married a couple monthes ago and hes been building a 65 impala for his little brother, I can only imagine how his family is taking this.
thats tuff stuff, i lost a daughter a few years ago, all you can really do is remember the good times you had, get back on them old cars! he would want you to.
Aw man that fucking sucks brother. Working on cars is the best therapy. I hope you find someone soon who share in the same interests. Losing friends blows...
Nick, despite the fact that a lot of us are grayheads, this is the place you came to try and make sense of this. We are listening. The regular world may never understand car people, Which was one reason you and your friend were tight. They do not tolerate a lot of bullshit, some are a pain to know, but when one of us runs into a deal like this, the wagons circle pretty damm quick. When we lost our daughter the the first to show up at our door or call to offer help were my car buds. They're still with us. Take it slow, take your time, and buzz us with any questions. Know your buddy is now your hot rod guardian angel. HE WON'T LET YOU DOWN.
God, that is horrible, so young. Sorry for the loss of your friend. In life, if we are lucky, we end up with a few people we can call "best friends." Sounds like you and he were best buds. I wish you and his family comfort through this very difficult time. Don
Condolences Nick I still reach for the phone when I need some help on something I am stuck on or would like to share something Kool . Then I remember my Friend isn't here on this rock any more . Time will easy the pain but it will not dull the memories of the good times. Hang in there . Sorry for your loss . Be there for his Family in the days to come. They will need support .
Damn shame a person so young as you has to deal with a tragedy like this. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and his family. As other's have said keep wheelin the old rides!
