Hi guys. I'm from the western Chicago burbs. I loved cars as a kid but got away from them for a few years. Now that I have some time and $ I'm crawling back. I was looking online for an early 50's ford to buy and make my own when I saw a link to this site. I browsed around and found a thread of a guy grinding his own wide white walls. That was awsome! I looked around some more and decided I needed to join this site. None of my friends are really into what I like so I am kind of a loner when it comes to cars but this seems like just the place I'm looking for. There so many great things on here.

Just to name a few... Hunnert Car Pileup - annual, in Morris every October. Probably 1000+ traditional rods. Cheaterama - Milwaukee every September. S**** Drive - new show in Belvidere this year. There are actually a few HAMBers in Elgin, in the Bare Bones club.
