Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Rusk, May 25, 2008.

  1. It's 2:00...I just got back from the Dice party....too faded to sleep, so I decided to post up on the HAMB. Not only is the Santa Maria Inn the dopest spot in town, it also has free access to the internets...here's a taste of what I saw on Friday and Sat....

Great to finally see this one in person...

When this is the first custom you see during check in, you know it's gonna be a good weekend.....Mark Morton Merc....

First of all let me say great pics.............you captured some of the great cars there but...............this is not Paso

I went to the show yesterday it should have been called Goodguys Cruising' Nationals..............Gone is the open a day in the park feel. got to town at about 9 AM found fairgrounds spent about 20 min in line waiting to park $5 spent another 45 min in line waiting to get through gate another $24 for 2 people to get in. Only 2 ticket booths open WTF?. Any way my feelings are that This once great show has been ruined and turned into another Goodguys commercial event! have been to I have missed this show once in the last 20 years sorry to say I will not be returning its not worth the 3 hour drive. If I want a Goodguys event I will go to Pleasanton as its only an hour away.

Man, were you so pissed about the admission fee you forgot to look at the cars? This event was far bigger than Paso ever was, and what is wrong with the sponsoring club, West Coast Kustoms, finally making some money at the gate? The fact that the fairgrounds is fenced must have kept out the free loading hoods who used to come to Paso just to get drunk and be bad boys. Tell me, How many cops did you See? I didn't see any...........

Yes great cars , great to be able to see all the cars in one place, I think a cruise on Broadway next year past the Santa Maria Inn on a closed road would add the Cruise appeal back to the event. We had a blast , shame about the weather this am but we'll be back next year , Well Done Penny & her gang . 4 thumbs up from us .
We went with an open mind , Paso is gone & it will never be replaced, this is a different event , time will tell .Great pics too Cheers.

Funny you should say that, when we saw the street we were thinking the exact same thing in all aspects, especially the cruise down Broadway!! Hopefully they can make that happen...

BTW, great pictures I didn't realize how many I actually missed...
