to be honest - I don't really like it, and I'm used to dual needle gauges (aircraft). Something about an itty-bitty tachometer that fails to energize my hot rod molecules. That particular guage (vac/tach) has a bit too much color - maybe I'm too conservative, but it just seems to say "JC Whitney".

sorry for the lack of support.

I'm running a Westach speedo, which works very nicely. I got it unused on Ebay for about $25. They're made in the U.S.A., too. My only complaint is that the bezel isn't chrome, so I had to get some cheapo Sunpro gauges to match it. They work, too...imagine that! Eventually, I'd like to swap them out for some more traditional gauges (that probably will give me fits to get working).

I have a set of custom made Westach 3" dia duals with white faces - don't know if I'll use them though....

Westach is about 10 miles from me, I graded a building pad for them in the early 80's, and have known a few folks that worked there. They make some pretty nice stuff, their larger (up to 4") quad guages have been around for a while

I have to agree with you, the pic I found was on the internet though the actual ones I saw in person didn't have all that color...

looks good though, the westach gauges I saw had a chrome bezel like the ones pictured above with a flat glass...i dont know...I know they arent traditional but the ones I saw in person looked as if they belonged in some inline 16 from the 1910's, looked interesting... Im just curious.

I am using Westach gauges in my pickup. Personally I really like them. They are aircraft quality. Main reason I chose them is that a three gauge set including speedo, tach. and fuel, temp, oil pressure and volt all in one fits nicely in my pickup gauge bezel along with an engine turned housing.

heres another pic of the style im looking for...I just wish they had the gas, amp, and oil pressure just as big and not in that "all in one" format...Im mean I still like it but id like a bigger view

i used westach's in a 40 ford back in 02 and really liked em. i got em from hane line at the time but i dont think they handle them anymore. they worked great. i was told they are more in to aircraft and industrial use than automotive?

They are fine, I just like originals. Nothing has the style of period gauges.
