We need some help. For a future issue, we're going to be putting the GARAGE spin on the story of Harry Westergard. Now, I know almost all of you know who he was. And I need your help. What kind of information, pics, background, personal stories, etc. can you contribute? Do you have old pictures of him, his cars, new pics of his cars, stories about working with him, owning one of his "spooky customs,", etc.? For your help, your name, info, etc. will be published as a contributor to GARAGE magazine. You'll get photo credit, quote credits, basically recognized in full for anything you can contribute to this article. If you need clarification about anything or have questions, please contact me at chief@garagemagazine.com. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to crediting HAMBsters in an upcoming issue of GARAGE for helping out. Stoner
you need to talk to Dick Bertolucci. The family still runs the body shop in sac. Dick is a hell of a nice guy and im sure whould help you out.Birtolucci and Barris are about the only ones left that knew him I think.
I thought one of the hot rod books (1949-59?) had an ad for their shop, but I can't seem to find it... Still looking tho... Jay
Spooky Customs.... I knda like that. As for info on the Master, has there ever been any other articles on Wetergard published?
About Westergard: The best reference yet have been Pat Ganahls book, the Dick Bertolucci article in R&C and another article in R&C (early late 80´s - 90´s). All by Pat Ganahl.
What RPW said. All my pics in info on him comes from the sources he mention. Im sure Dick Bertolucci must have unpublished pics and info, though. Also the name Westergard is bound to mean he had roots in Norway or Denmark.
