I've used it for years, and it works great. I use it to clean blackwall tires, too.

I don't have any whitewalls anymore and still use it.

Use it with a stiff bristle brush and you won't need any tire dressing. I don't like shiny blackwalls.

The Coker WW cleaner works REAL good. Wesley's dries out your tires. I also like Lestoil for really dirty tires, it softens rubber too.

I've used Bleche Wite to clean the white convertible top on my '63 Dodge and have never had it do anything bad to the paint. And, as I can't figure out how to get the BW on the top and then off again without getting on the paint, I think that the warning is, perhaps, prompted by an overzealous law department. Remember, if you do something stupid, there is always an attorney to make someone else pay for it!

Nevertheless, I have never had anything but good luck when I use Bleche Wite. Good stuff...

YES,Ithink everyone has prolly used it, you must understand that labels like this are made for people that want to file a claim or sue, because they can, it is just covering the manufacturers ***, so people with a big iQ but low on daily common sense can understand, use spairingly and with caution. Oh and also don't try to bleech you **** cavatiy or your teeth with it, just incase they didn't make that clear as well................

Pretty much any detergent (Westleys, Simple Green, Comet, etc.) will dry out the rubber.
After you do the clean up, let it dry and then rub in some ArmourAll to keep the rubber from drying out.

I've used GUNK Engine Brite on my white lettered and whitewall tires for years. Works good, gets the black clean as well and doesn't hurt aluminum, paint, etc. Spray it on before you wash the car and then hit it with a pressure washer, any tough spots are quickly taken care of with SOS or more GUNK and a stiff brush. Usually the SOS pads are only needed the first time on used tires. I bought some Westley's when I got my Stude, it didn't work any better than the GUNK and smelled su****iously like Hydrochloric (aka Muriatic ) Acid. I'll stick with GUNK.

I've been told Armor All wasn't recommended on whitewalls. Anybody have any info on that?

  15. Use it on almost everything I clean and never had a problem, tires, wheels, running board rubber. Just clean it and rinse it down good, it cleans very good.

Most likely sodium hyperchlorite. I've used it and noticed that it dissolved / removed the boundary layer of white rubber on the whitewall. That's why they come out so clean and fresh looking.

Used it exclusively on my 55 Olds, with 4 1/8" white walls for over 30 years...3 sets of tires. Wore them out before they "dried out"!
Not a fan of abrasive cleansers. While they do a good job on extremely dirty whites, as a last resort, I've also noticed that they seem to scuff up the nice, shiny white wall surface. The scratches will then attract and hold dirt more than a smooth shiny surface. My olds' whites are still as shiny as they were when new.

I've used Westleys for over 35 years on the widewhites on my 53 Ford and never had a problem. It's never harmed the red paint on the wheels or the chrome on the hubcaps.

Nope. No chlorine "bleach" in it either.
