I'd tell you how proud I am... but somehow that seems condescending in such a situation. Instead, I'll say this: I knew ya then... And I was right.
Wow Joey, I envy you, a young guy with a bright future and working in the industry I've always loved. Good luck to you and have fun!
Congratulations! I've enjoyed your editorial here on the HAMB and look forward to the next chapter...
Congratulations to a fine young man. I always enjoy reading your threads here and now look forward to your work in TRJ Wow - what an opportunity and well deserved. Best of luck. On a side note, my oldest son graduated from the J-School in 2006 and younger son from PharmD program in CoMo recently. So, welcome to the Tiger family and M I Z.

Congrats Joey. I hope to meet you some day. If your ever back in Michigan, give me a shout. Good luck on the west coast.
Looking forward to your efforts at TRJ. Hope you keep doing your HAMBwork too. Best of luck in your new endeavor.
Congratulations and best wishes for much success! Edit: You have what it takes! You set a goal, were willing to put in the effort and investment to learn your chosen craft and will reap the benefits for your whole life. I can't think of a better example to set. No hint of 'entitlement', just a willingness to do what it takes. Good for you!! Ray
"Work at doing something you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life!" How true, Joey. That's great news! Cali and the TRJ will provide nothing but inspiration, and the California sunshine won't make you miss northern winters, either! CONGRATULATIONS, WELL DONE! p.s. Ryan, warm up your typewriter..........you're back on the Monday - Friday shift!
@J.Ukrop Congratulations! That's just too cool! You're going to be right in the middle of what I consider the benchmark of auto-journalism! Best of luck to you!
Wow! As everybody else said, CONGRATULATIONS! You obviously have a passion and talent for this biz. I had NO idea you were under 35! Your writing has always been very well polished, and articulate, while at the same time, entertaining. Something a lot of much more "mature" journalists fail at. Best of luck to you young man. Oh, one more thing. I am jealouse as hell!
Congrats again, you may find that the move is the hard part. Did you get the shirt? Good Luck, Carp Oh, by the way, I have that mag!! Hey Ryan, you sure know how to pick 'em. Way to give back!
This illustrates how profound our responsibility is as stewards of this hobby... and how important it is to nurture the younger generation that's interested in it.
Congrats on Graduating in your chosen field and landing a dream job to boot. I like a lot of others among us have looked forward to and enjoyed reading your stories the past few years and look for many more to come in your new position.
