The Deabeats annual bash was held today in the Metro Detroit area. WOW, probley one of the all time best partys I've ever attended. Awesome folks, great cars and bikes, tons of food, talented artists and musicians, kids, pets, comfortable temps.... a Sunday afternoon doesn't get any better then this.

Many heartfelt thanks to the Deadbeats for hosting such a great bash, especially Jeff and Heather for opening up their home and yard to everyone. The Deadbeats have a special way of making everyone feel like family. It was wonderful to see Nailhead60 and Barnett again and to finally meet Dan's wife Babs. I really enjoyed playing Backgammon with HAMB newbie Andrew from Omaha and his brother who was in from Vegas. I was blown away by how many outta town folks were there today. It was a treat meeting so many new friends.

Congrats to Mark from Kansas and Blake from Chicago on becoming full fleded Deadbeats today.

There are a few t-shirts and posters left. If anyone wants anything, PM Jeff, krownxiii here on the HAMB.

Without further ado, here are a few shots I took today.

Shannon might look fimiliar to some. She just starred on a recent episode of Rides with Chip Foose. It aired about 2 weeks ago and was about building a Detroit Ridler winner. Chip took a liking to Shannon and her bike which she was showing at the Autorama. After spending some time chatting with her it's nice to know there will be some up and coming girls in our hot rod hobby.

You know it Pete, I was on the fence about going, since my car isn't running. I decided to stay home and pull the 216 out of the chevy. Next summer baby, Next summer!

It's funny you say this...My neighbors and I replace the privacy fence this weekend....

  18. I want to see a pic of the two new Pledges, Mark from Nebraska and Blake from Chicago.

We decided to drop the usual blood initiation and ritual sacrafice this year. So we had the prospectives where an event T-Shirt that was about 4 sizes too small, and then they were basicly orderd to wait on all of us through out the day, it was the funniest thing we have ever done.

Congrats to both of those guys. They showed 110% support thoughout the year and have proven to be true DEADBEATS

I can't say enough about how good this party was. Thanks to all the people that came, that is what made it so good.

DEADBEATS RULE!! But You knew that

I to would like to thank Jeff and the whole deadbeat crew for putting this on. I wish i would have been a little with it but 4 hours of sleep doesnt work to well i guess.
Got to thank the 313og's for the great food. I saw the burger cook just dumping shit on the burgers but man were they good!

Cant wait for next year again. I kinda liked it better at jeffs house then on woodward. Jeffs back yard has some of the craziest grass you will ever see. Its like shag carpet!:D It was The topic of the day for many:rolleyes: ;)

  26. First of all....THANKS to ALL the FRIENDS OF DEADBEATS for coming out and making it such a good time!!! It really was a nice, relaxed atmosphere with absolutely NO attitudes or egos...just friends, food, cars, bikes and fun.

Second...our 2 newly inducted DEADBEATS are true RULERS! Blake drove his '55 Chevy in from Illniois and Mark drove his '50-? Ford pick up all the way from Kansas! Keep in mind, they both just finished a drive to Nebraska, about 3 weeks ago, for another club get-together! These guys REALLY wanted to be brought into the club.

Unkl Ian and Joel...everybody was asking where you guys were...you were greatly missed. See you next time...AutoRama!

    Jason....were your ears burning? ;)

Ian...we're not "gangstas"...the hand sign is just another example of how each member brings his background/upbringing to the club.

I'll see if any of my pics are worth posting.

Jeff and Heather are too fuckin cool for words. Jime and Pat...thanks again for the hospitality (and taking us to the airport at 5 a.m. after going to bed at 3 a.m.!). Steve...thanks for letting us cruise the WildCat...that car has sooo much potential.

Damn, this was a good weekend.

  27. Let me also thank Jeff and his lovely wife and ALL the people who made this get-together one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of attending.I concur that it was much a much nicer and more relaxed environment than the Woodward show.Good weather, great food and drink, and greater people;you can't ask for any more than that.
Had some fun painting and some great conversation.A special thanks to Kritz for the,"Rodent Incarceration Device";I'm already plotting the decorations.
I guess what really made an impression on me was the fact that all age groups were represented here;literally from 7 to 70,and although there was a considerable consumption of various examples of liquid anesthetic,at no time was there any evidence of hostility.
Again thanks to all who made it possible and for those who missed it,you better show up next year. You KNOW who you are and we KNOW where you live!
