I have a 30 Tudor w/350, 30 over, miled cam. Wondering if edelbrock 600 cfm or road demon junior 625cfm which one would be better for reliability and dependability. Anyone had any experience with either one please advise.

I like the Holley/Demon style carbs... The gaskets interchange with each other come rebuild time. :)

  3. you are going to get a lot of opinions for and against both...here is mine: i like the Edelbrock on a mild street driven motor.

A 600 Holley would be fine. I don't imagine a Road Demon any real improvement over the old standby. If you have a little more money to spend a 600dp would be a lot more fun. Contrary to popular belief a dp is not any more fuel hungry as long as you aren't out stepping into it at every stop lite. 30cc's isn't much more fuel.
I have a 60 over 350 with a mild cam and my 650 dp gets way better performance and gas mileage over the quadrajet (750) or my 750 VS Holley. I wish I had a 600dp to use but I don't.

Eddy's are usually pretty good to slap on and run. Demons I've dealt with have needed more tuning, but are more tunable.

Don't get the Edelbrock. Holley's are not rocket surgery and perform much better.

I am a diehard Holley fan if you can't tell.

Ok. don't buy the Holley. Just kiddin here. They're both good carbs but I've had better luck setting up and tuning the Edelbrocks by far. The Holley probably would give a little better performance until the power valve blows but the Eddy you can take out of the box and run and fine tune as you go. I guess I like the Edelbrock for the money and ease of working on it

Edelbrock for sure. Mine was bolt on and go, perfect mixture, only adjustment was idle speed. I won't use Holleys anymore.
