My JJ name is ParklaneBill and I got a link for your site from a Hot Rod friend. I am producing a documentary on Don Lee, Tommy Lee and their Cadillac and Broadcasting Empire. The story runs from the early 1900's to about 1951. An important part of the story is the telling of Tommy's interest in racing (midget, hot rod, and Indy cars), dry lakes, custom cars like the one Frank Kurtis built for Tommy in 1936/7. I was happy to find the Tommy Lorbeer film posted by SeaBright Hot Rods and I talked to Dave about that. Additionally I contacted David Steele about his collection of interviews at the American Hot Rod Foundation. He has promised to help as well. Does anyone know why the "film" of El Mirage posted by Jive Bomber was deleted? I am open to anyone contacting me and any help you might give me in order for me to tell the real story of Tommy Lee and the early racing involved. Thank you very much.
