This looks like some sort of outdoor car show.We see the hot rod coupe in the fore and custom to the right rear. Then the early car's wheel out front. Then if you look a little deeper there is another restored or conserved car.The venue appears to be a high school or college playing field.Anybody able to tell the rest of the story?
Not a Model T Ford wheel, Great looking '32 3Window, channeled with a full hood, wonder if it ever had a magazine feature. Bob
If you look through this thread, you might be able to figure it out. Looks to be other shots from the same show. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=430894&page=3
I can't be any help with this particular photo but I do remember back in the early 60's the local Model A club & the Lion's Club teamed up together and hosted a show at the local High School on the football field. They charged 50 cent to see all the cars,,,as I recall there were probably 40 cars & trucks in attendance. They did that until the late 70's and moved it to the new High School. Last time I attended it was 20 bucks to show and 5 bucks to get in. HRP
Post the photo on this thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428585 maybe someone looking over the old photos will know something about it.
