I was not aware that someone could post on an ad. I just saw this in the Wanted section. And then it says in the bottom right corner that I do not have sufficient privileges to respond here. ????? Anybody have the answers?? Thanks. I thought we were all on the same playing field, but it seems not.
I don't think that any non moderator can post on any ad. They do that so you don't bump someone's ad up to the top sooner than the 3 day rule or whatever it is...
You can't post on ads. You have to message the seller via conversations (the little envelope on the top right).
That usually happens when someone posts a wanted ad on the main board . If people happen to respond and those responses are not deleted when a moderator moves the thread to the wanted section of the cl***ifieds
In the simplest terms beyond what Morarity stated. You have to respond to any add by personal message rather than post on that add. A**** other things it keeps the clutter down.
So what you are all saying is that I imagined this ad?? It was in the Wanted section. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/car-body-transport.1272651/
No. It started out in the forum. A moderator moved it from the forum to the for sale/wanted section. It was explained a few posts up. Reread post #4
Yea that was me.....it was posted they were looking for transport on the main board ( with some reply posts on it ) and I moved it from the main board to the wanted section.
I did not know that. So all the replies on for sale ads are just the seller bumping the item... good indication of something being overpriced or undesirable.
Not true- Not everybody is looking for something when it is originally posted. Somebody hits lotto and then they start looking over the HAMB listings.
Moderators- thanks for clearing that up. And no did not see all the whereasis and whereforths. Working man not glued to a computer. Rock on.
