I have a Ford 9" rear axle out of a 1964 F100 which has the sealed bearings and 28 splines. Does anyone know the correct part number for the axle shaft seals that press into the housing? Thank you, Zak.
No offense but I did google it and I am seeing different people say different numbers fit. I just wanted to make sure I get the right thing. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I have been to my local parts stores and they seem to have little to no knowledge when it comes to parts. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
For a 9" Ford wheel bearing with 2.835 O.D. bearing diameter with 28 spline axles autozone number 9569S.
I saved the box for the seals I used on my 28-spline, 9" and they were National 9568. Use 9568 for light duty and 51098 for heavy duty 9" Ford axles, 1957-1972
"ONE" (sorry, I just couldn't help myself......) Seriously, if you google national 9568 or 9569, it'll give you all the info on it.
Never mind. You may have noticed that I have deleted most of my posts. Its going to take a while but I intend to delete pretty much everything I have posted today. Don't take it personal.
I like to take the old one out and read the part number on it, and maybe measure it too. Then I can look it up and order the correct one the first time.
