I was wondering what the stars under your hamb handle were supposed to denote? Does it mean you are a good hamber in standing or that you get to go to the head of the class? Duh? I could not find any info on this in FAQ section.
If you hold your mouse over them they say something like "1 total rates," but heck if I know what that means!
Look in the lower left hand corner of this page. There's a spot called "Rate This Thread". If someone rates the thread, you get the corresponding number of stars.
If someone clicks on your user NAME and goes to your "profile", they are then able to rate YOU as a user on the board. If you "mouse over" the stars under your user name, that tells you how many folks have rated YOU. Kind of like a popularity contest in MY OPINION. Rate the thread is just that, has to do with the thread, not any person. This I find is much more useful especially for those that might not have the time to read each and every thread, they can just visit the ones that their fellow HAMB members feel are an important/worthwile/informative read.
i think it a rating someone gave when they looked at your profile. at the bottom of the profile page is a pull down that lets you rate the profilee. later jim
Ok, I get it now. Thanks everyone. I don't deserve no stinkin' stars. It's kinda funny really. My username came up with the five stars when the hamb update occured. Does that mean that Ryan did it in the beginning? "He likes me,he really likes me"! I feel so special. Great job Ryan on this addictive thing called the HAMB. Kudoo's to ya!
