I love 30's headlights & can pretty well I.D. most of the usual suspects, but I never heard anything about the origin or maker of these guys. I've seen them on here a few times before & saw this set on a car at a show this weekend. The owner of the car was never around for me to ask. Does anyone have any info of them? They're kind of like Guide meets War of the Worlds.
There was a gal on here (from PA I think) whos handle was Satins... something, then she changed it. Class A scrounger! She posted a pic of those on a 30's vintage big truck. Thats the best my memory can do... maybe someone else will chime in with the link.
The jeweled light on top looks like an after thought. Hmmmmmm, I wonder what these would look like if I put them on top on that headlight?
Yeah, if she was a class A scrounger, she was probably from PA..ha-ha. I'm leaning to the truck application, too. A lot of the cool headlights we use were from trucks. I got the ones I'm using from a '47 Diamond T. The American La France fire trucks used the Electroline 2200 series.
the little topper was made by arrow, they arrow co actually made headlight buckets with a little recess in them for the topper. the buckets in the picture do not have the recess and are just the standard arrow aftermarket sealed beam replacement, they probably came standard on some big trucks in the late 30-early 40's as well as being available at pepboys, jc witney etc.
