I'm positive these came from my '40 Chrysler. Too much time has passed since taking them off.......IDK what their function was. They are the same part; no L or R. It is possible that there was only one used on the car, but there was an extra?? Per the pic, a #6 screw fits in; a #8 is too large.
I think the heater in mine had been replaced at one time by an Atlas heater. There isn't any protruding Ø .250 stub shafts on it at all.
@Joe Blow that must've been what was in mine. Lever is just like that and just as sodakmini described. Anyone need 1 ?
Sorry man , all that would earn you is her having to prove you wrong a couple or three times in the future, you will not know how or when Trust me I know this first hand and repeatedly
I suspect those little handles have been used for a lot of different things over the years. They could be chrome plated, left original, or be painted pretty much any color needed to match something. With a set screw and a flat spot on the round shaft, they could lock onto many 1/4" shafts and could open and close a lot of stuff. Depending on if the hole for the screw went all the way through the handle, they could have even been pinned.
