Location seems odd for that being directly under the axle

As Dedsoto said. Plus, it needs a wide base spacer and should have tubes welded inside for support, not just holes in the plate.

    Coil over mount.

I was a little confused about the open drive coming out of the top of the diff, then looked a little closer... :)

I think I would moch up the rear end in place before I cut them off. They may end up being where you "need" as opposed to where you would like to put them. They can always be removed if its wrong for your vehicle.

The shock mounts I like to use are from 65-70 full size Fords. They have style, offset, and can be trimmed to the proper height and housing shape. IMG_0089.JPG IMG_0090.JPG

Yes, I like the look of those brackets Marty. The thing I like about some other brackets is that they have more than one possible hole location which can help with getting a car to sit just the right height or use a slightly different coil over shock length. Usually someone fabricates a solid bar with the same length as the disired shock. When the actual shock is put on, it may settle some......or if you get a longer shock to offset the settling, it may sit the car slightly too high.....or using a softer spring later because the car rides too harshly. Some people can get it just right the first time. Me, I prefer to build in adjustability. I had a conversation with a guy at a rod run last weekend. He said his tires didn't rub, but it rode rougher than he liked. Was afraid to soften the springs.
I like to use a bracket similar to what Oliver has with multiple holes. Then I make an additional bracket with multiple holes that bolts to it. Between the two brackets I can adjust to get what I want/need. Additionally I add a few mounting points on the frame crossmember to allow tilting the shock. With all of that, I can pretty well find the best working condition and get the car to set like I want. Also, in this case the bracket also holds the 4 bar linkage in front.

I wont be running coil overs, just some chrome tube gas shocks so its purely aesthetics to me. Car will have an A spring pack and the 36 bones with a torque arm. I may be able to use these as a shock mount though and it may look okay, i dig those 65-70 mounts marty pictured! Thats more along the lines of what I picture in my head

I don't use them for coil overs, just standard shocks. Normally, when building a car, I know the ride height I am shooting for, so I remove spring leaves and or ***imilate weight to get to that height. Like on my RPU, ride height needs be an inch or so higher for the dragstrip. Also, there is some la***ude with standard tube shocks. IMG_9968.JPG

Gas shocks don't always work out on light rear end weight hot rods.
