It's mind boggeling to think of the work that went into these cars, think about it, hand built. How many hours did it take just to build the trim? Saw them at the Petterson Musuem a dozen years ago, could study them for hours, truly works of art.
Hey, On the subject of designs and French coachbuilders......... The Talbot Lago, the black one: When this design was first viewed by William Lyons, of Jaguar Motorcars fame, called this design "vulgar". I've always thought it interesting that the 120, 140 & 150 Model Jaguars bore more than a passing copy, of line and form, to these. If ya squint real hard at French coachbuilt vehicles, towards their lines and form, it's not hard to see Harry Westergard & Sam Barris. Swankey Devils C.C.
