That is awesome. Keep getting the word out. It would be freaking sick to have a couple of dozen AWB cars there.

  5. Hey, I wanna thank you for pointing out my Super Sport stripes there little brother.

AWB shoot out would be awesome. Maybe we can convince Ron and BJ to let it happen before they fully prep the track each morning or late in the day when it's slick.... Then let the participants use rosin and some old school "Gold Dust" for the burnouts. Multiple dry hops would be mandatory. Cap the session(s) with the Rocky Phillips rolling smoke show and anyone else who prefers less prep. Great way to start / end the days

Yah I know - hard to schedule but you have to think out of the box to know where the sides are

I'm trying to talk Jeff into having Ron do starting line interviews with Jeff and Myself before we run the cars, sort of like the old radio spots where The drivers would talk shit about each other before their upcoming match race...Sort of like:

"Well you know Ron,I've seen that old Chevy run,and I don't see what all the fuss is about"

    And Jeff comes back with...

"That Ford's good for nothin but haulin groceries. The Okie Doker is gonna put you back on the trailer to Canada!"

    It would be awesome stuff!

They made for some awesome magazine cover shots, but you couldn't pay me enough burnouts in a big fireball of gasoline every night.lol!

I know my luck would catch up with me at some point and sputter out and burn to the ground...lol

Well if you were running a Chevy or Chrysler you wouldn't have to worry but that ford would never outrun the flame lmao

Have we stooped so low that we need to bring "Donkey Kong doing Shakespeare in drag" theatrics into the mix ??

God I hope so... Too funny !!

Save the starting line trash talking interviews for Sunday. I'm tell'n y'all Sunday Sunday Sunday is going to turn into the match race day. Grudge racing, trash talk'n 2 outta 3 hype and drama from the tower... Sort of like the Monster Trucks freestyling at the end of the event.

I agree, maybe have a 3 DVD set? One for each day, Fri-Sat-Sun? I don't no if you can get that much footage on one DVD? Last year would of been a great DVD! Your head had to be on a swivel with so much each day to see! The Racing, The Swap, The Car Show, Checking Cars out, Meeting People & Special Guests! Geez that would of been a lot to get on a DVD!

It would be hard to put that in my automotive video library:)
I just added to it this weekend at the Nashville swap meet
bought a old movie called drag racer
a Jackson brothers video about junior fuelers
and my son picked out Whacky wheel standers about wheelie cars.

  18. Scott, you keep whipping that tire 289 like an old mule, and you may do at least one big fire blowout, er um uh burnout.

Racer x is right on the fire burnout it is dangerous and when I seen him pull one off at George rays dragstrip it was spectacular but it was in a very controlled environment that moment was when I fell in love with afx cars I had always liked them but as soon as I got home I went and bought my first 65 coronet to build one six months later I had a roller ready for a engine and Trans but someone else liked it better than his pile o hundred dollar bills so I never drove it then I built my dart and now on to another one maybe meltdown 2016

Here is this week's Meltdown Monday....

It's the first Meltdown Monday in February and we just got a lot of snow in the midwest and it is cold....it made us think of our friends from the Southeast Gassers.

Last year these guys put on a heck of a show and we can't wait to see them again in 2015!

Any other Southeast Gassers making the trip back in 2015?

What do people want to see next week? Let us know

Not many people can say their car can pull all 4 wheels off of the ground....that 55 can!

  25. As I'm a fan of 37 Chevy coupes, I really liked this one. I actually helped the owner by supplying the last peices of garnish trim to complete his interior...very nice gentleman.

Remember the Beach Boys lyrics, And coming off the line when the light turns green
Well she blows em outta the water like you never seen.

Must have a rev limiter, because I think its cavitating.

Here's the sad state the poor Ol Shaker is in as of right now..... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1423091959.030889.jpg and yes.....That's 3 feet of snow outside the shop.

    Commence "RicStravaganza".....

(I know he loves giving Davey and myself the gears about our miserable weather while he's sipping fruity umbrella drinks at the tiki bar and applying spf 50 in the SoCal sun).
