Holy shit.I don't know why I can't get the audio to work on any YouTube videos on the mobile app,but that was from "The Devil's Brigade",wasn't it?

Most of those guys were from Ontario or Quebec, and some of them were actually from Point Edward and Sarnia (my home town, and the one next to it).

There was a documentary about that movie on the history channel a few years ago,and the one old man from The Point who got interviewed was just plain scary.Once he started talking about it he got this smile on his face like the best time he ever had was when he was over there killing Nazis by the dozen.Even at 80+ yrs old,he was one old bastard that was not to be messed with.lol!

Well been working on the weight reduction. My first shift job has me down to 174 and if I keep this up people will think I should put down the crack pipe. Been thinking about cutting my hair that could be worth and once or two.

Anyway going to lose the front bumper and remove the seats and install a single racing bucket. I need to pull the carpet but I don't think I am going to like what I see.
Got my eye on some Crager's for the front to add to the bling.
Going to hit up the owner/sponsor for a new shifter some new front runners and some welding wire and 75/25 gas.

Man Scott I for one am one of the examples here last year I was finishing putting the Willys together in the pits I was parked right next to this beautiful red Willys coupe and those guys were over looking at my pile while I was working but when I stood on the front fenders of my truck to pull the blower and carb off of the intake and set it on the top of the cab those guys about had a heart attack I just looked at them and said "you think I'm gonna scratch it or something" and all the while the bangshift guy was taking a zillion pics he didn't interrupt me but did say as he was walkin away "that guy gets it". Then after it was all over I realized I must get it because there were 8 pics of me and my truck in the coverage who the hell gets 8 pics on bangshift not many people I have been to drag races and car shows and events all over the country and in my opinion the meltdown and the meltdown crew are #1 there has never been a event in my 41 years that I have been to that I didn't know anyone when I got there that when I left I had more good friends than I can count and felt as if it was the dragstrip I live 3 miles from I don't post a lot but I read this thread multiple times a day and feel like I know most of the guys who are shit talking pretty well unfortunatly I didn't get the oportunity to meet most of you but can't wait to hang out and get to know everyone a bit better this year I'm sure I will see a lot of the tailights you guys bring out but I still will line em up and run as good as my pile will

......and now back to the show

    Ugh.....It ain't pretty Brother.

I suggest you counter with: "I'd rather be the 'bag' than the 'nozzle'." ...?lol

Or you could zing him with the always-popular: "Hey Jeffro,it's customary to finish up your burnout by pulling AHEAD,not just stopping dead in the water."

Or my fave: "Shut yer face Jeff!"lol

    Just a few suggestions

    Randy -

    Well said....

What you just said sums up the whole reason that the Meltdown came to life. We knew there were others out there who wanted the same thing we did....and they are great people...

    Love ya Brother!

I'm installing one on mine too....so I can do a little better than those pathetic, chirpy little burnouts I've been doing in the past.

We need some crazy, past the starting line shit this year!:)

I'm sure the line lock will work just fine.
Can't imagine an extra master cylinder and brake handle going over too well with the cops on my street driven car,or with the insurance adjuster if I ever crashed it and had to enter a claim.First thing he'd do is look at that and say "DENIED!"

I'm pretty confident my little Ford will smoke em plenty hard, don't you worry,Bub.;)

If you've burned so many people to death, its probably a bad idea.Just sayin'.

  18. That's easy Jephhhh, when your done with your burnout, LET GO, of the aforementioned line loc button, and accelerate, or role out of the water box depending on your John Force tendencies.

    Ric-

You are turning into Racer Y with all of the pro coaching... I DID let go of the button however the brakes did not release... Begin a long string of explatives and repeated button pushing, brake slamming, etc

    Scott-

Exactly, the solenoid stuck. I replaced it and now all good. Definitely throws you off when it happens....

I guess it would kinda hold you hostage.....No wonder things went to shit.

So what did you do?Did pumping the brakes free up the solenoid?Thats an interesting problem that I'm sure lots of guys have never even considered.I know I never thought of it before you brought it up.
What did you do to get it rolling enough to get it down the track and back to the pits?I'd like to know what your short term fix was in case any of us find ourselves in that same spot after doing our burnout.
