Pulled some parts off my F-6 to sell for the coupe fund and started fixing a bent winshield post on the 30's cowl. I'm squaring it up on the frame, but I'll need the frame to body mounts before I can go too much further. Patching up holes in the meantime.

Fixing my garage door. It's always been difficult to open in cold weather, and since I've finally got a project to be working on this winter, I want to make sure I can get in.

Drove it all day today. Found out that one of my upper control arm bolts was loose! Tightened it up and now the shimmy went away. Yay.

    Local car show tomorrow.

    Life is peachy.

Drove the truck to a local show sponsored by Cl*** Gl*** and Performance to benefit the local Toys For Happiness drive.
Frank Morawski had the Carillo Brothers roadster there,"Fast" Jack Beckman was there and 50+ tasty racecars and hot rods...
Lotsa fun with friends and met a few new ones.

Just brought her home today, and admiring her in all her pinkness. Tomorrow will come trying to figure out why all the exhaust is coming inside, today in the standing back and going "ain't she cute" phase....

I finished up the engine swap on my T-Bucket last weekend and was going to re-run the valves and tweak on the carb and timing tomorrow but i gotta go to the CHHR. The original 327 developed some issues so last March, since i was working 60 hours a week and to minimize down time, i swapped in a base 190 hp GM GOODWRENCH crate 350. With the Edelbrock Performer intake/Edelbrock 600 cfm Performer carb and Summit HEI it ran pretty good. But i sure missed the slightly choppy idle from the old Crane Fire Ball cam and that gear drive whine. The plan was to rebuild the 327, put it back in the T-Bucket and put the 350 in my '56 Chevy more door. Since the '56 will be a cruiser it should run okay.

It's been bored .60 over, decked, align bored, balanced, Comp Cams 268h cam, lifters, push rods, rocker arms, valve springs, gear drive and early .194 76cc 350 heads. The Edelbrock intake/carb combo and Summit HEI were reused. I like the looks of the 327 much better. I still need to fine tune the timing, re-run the valves and do a little adjusting on the carb but it seems to run pretty good and it sure do sound good. Even with the fugly HEI (it'll eventually be replaced with a stock distributor with a Pertronic module) it looks better than the black 350.

Holy ****, it's gorgeous, what is it?

As for exhaust in the cab, crawl under it and look for ****py patches hidden underneath the carpet? My buick has (had, I tore it out and welded a patch over the hole) a heater under the front bench. I live in fl, I don't need no damn bench heater, and didn't want to worry about road fumes sneaking in from the floor.

  27. Worked on the FED (Elwood) made new fuel lines, adjusted the valves and took six inches off the "zoomies". Makes for a nice Sat. afternoon, a couple of beers and playing with my toys. :D

Painted a few miscellaneous parts for the '47 Mercury my father's building for my mother. I painted the main body and flamed it about a month ago (a thread somewhere listed as http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=514069 showing a bunch of the pics), and finished up the buffing 2 weekends ago. Now just finishing up trim parts. No fresh pics of the trim parts, but a few pics of the Mercury.

Today, once the coffee kicks in, I'm going out to my garage to work on the '34 Chevy. I need to finish blocking the p***enger side, and have a little more work to do on the driver's side before it's ready for a new coat of primer. I have a goal for complete by the spring - I better get moving!
