Nothing is earmarked specific for her. My daughter claims everything I have anyway!

My brother bought me my 1st car...an ugly primered Datsun B210 when he sold his 56 Mercury right out of High School. (He was tired of dropping me off and picking me up and decided buying me a beater car would get his ass of the hook...) I soo wanted to save it for Gianna...NOPE. She has her own ideas:

Definitely something with "flare" and something she can work on with her Papa.
Late 60's Chevy Truck..not too picky about year but she wants it to be long bed to fit her dirtbike (NO BACK SEAT) and she's already picked paint for a truck! OR a Mustang~
My other little one Franchesca has decided she wants to be a race car driver so I have a few years to try to tame that one.

    Well,
Our Daughter is only 6 but loves sitting in and on the Cadillac while I work on it. Her new favorite spot is right on the front fender. It would be cool to restore the "46" for her to take "her" date to prom!!

We built her first car together. We started when she was 15 it took two years, but what a great time!! We went to a lot of shows and got some nice awards. She continues to inspire me. She picked the type of car and the color. Finished in 2002 just in time to have a picture of the car in her year book, she is married now and when her hubby comes back from Irac the car will be his!!

51leadsled....That is sooooo cool, you are an awesome inspiration! I'm sure it's something she will never forget. And when she has kid's... (grandpa) will help them too. That's the way to keep our hobby alive and well. God bless ya! Kenny.

The scrap book has about 300 photos. We took photos of her in wedding gown and me in my tux in front of it when she got married. What a blast, she use to play dumb about cars except when one of the guys started to talk big and point to the alternator and say it was a carburetor she would "gently" correct them.

I would out the scrap book out at car shows to show other young girls what they could do. Very special memories!

My daughter's first car was a 67 Dodge Coronet 2 door sedan. I put power steering, disc brakes, and a 383/727 in it. She drove it all through high school with nary a problem.

Her first year of college I got her a 92 Lebaron convertible. She had it 39 days until a Domino's Pizza delivery driver decided to drive on only his park lights after making a delivery and shoved her drivers door in 22 inches broadsiding it. Six days at bedside in the ICU is something I always hope no other parent ever has to go through. That she survived it at all is still a miracle to me and that over time she fully recovered is yet another one.
Someday in the not so distant future I'm hoping she becomes a DA and goes after every SOB that checks their brain at the door when they climb into a car.

When I was a little girl *ha*, my father the diesel mechanic said, "build it or you'll walk for the rest of your life"..........so my first build was something similar to this *84 Camaro sans the cool neons*
    [IMG]

But then, after I had finished it, my mother says, "Oh no! Your birthmus is in December and you'll slip the clutch and kill yourself"......so I ended up with one of these:

Yah, my mother and I still don't have the best of relationships. So one day, dear ol dad says, "I'm tired of driving my Corvette to work everyday, time to buy a new car!"....so I took one for the team, and said I'd take ANYTHING smog exempt. I ended up with a 67 Mustang with a 6cyl.

I've become specific in my requests since then. Yup. After that, I bought a 68 Mustang and dropped a 302 HO in it, then on to my 58 Chev.....Ponchos, etc.

I don't have a daughter, but I'll willingly guide any of yours..........especially my best girl friend ever Danielle.

My daughter is nuts, she has fallen in love with my 70 maverick, which is a low 12 second car, I told her we'll share it and buy her something a little safer as a daily driver, she says that she cant wait to take it down the track, scare's the shit out of me.

I guess I will build what ever my little princess wants! She just turned 13 and says she wants a "slug bug". Guess I need to gently guide her in a different direction.

What I'm building is my 401K so she can have a college education. She's a senior now drives a 2003 Honda Accord. I figured it would take her through her junior and senior years in high school and through her college years. Ya I know boring, but she was never really into the car scene. When she was growing up I'd take her to shows and swap meets and even took her down to Vegas when she was 13.

My daughters, now 33, had slightly different tastes in 2nd cars but shared their first, a 74 Camaro with 250 6cyl and 3-speed floor shift. The oldest by 10 minutes graduated to a Petty Blue 73 Dodge Dart Swinger with 225 Slant six and automatic. The younger moved down to a Ford Escort, then a Nissan Sentra when the Ford blew up.
Both hated it when I took them to school in my T bucket or the 48 Plymouth Coupe or Sedan I had when they were in Jr. High and High School. They now realize that that was a big mistake and want an older car for a cruiser.
