Pulled a 302/5.0 mounted on a stand out of the garage and started taking it apart. It's a '91 HO with only 56K on it. All the cyl. bores still have the factory cross hatch hone pattern and no ridges. :D.. I got a set of iron GT-40 heads to bolt on plus a Weiand tunnel ram intake to go with it and a matching set of Holleys.

Closest I got to "car related" stuff was pulling the Essex out of the new shop so I could work on the shop a bit. The truck was in the way. :p

Went to a local cruise in ... stayed until the RAIN came :(

Good thing I drove the coupe and left the roadster at home. Talked with a few HAMBERS ... and had a good time.

I think I will clean up the coupe and go for another cruise around the lake on Sunday afternoon.

  9. Trying to set up the choke on a 2100 Motorcraft. Would be nice for cold winter 2 mile drive to work.
Choke diaphragm adjust screw seems locked.
Bicycle riding is starting to look good.

  10. finally figured out why the rear suspension was so stiff on my 49 Plymouth, the custom built shackle mounts were about an inch and a half too far forward and left the shackles with no room to let the rear springs stretch back during compression. no way to move them back on the frame the way they were built, so I tripped down to the local pull a part and found the same width rear brackets off an LTD and Fit them to my car. Also added a trailer hitch to pull my Vintage travel trailer I just finished restoring. Taking them both on a a nice camping/cruise run at Rockport in 2 weeks.

I drove my model A to the local hangout spot. It was dead. Only about 20 cars showed up so I left after an hour. Leaving was the best part of the whole day. I stomped on it as I was leaving and burned several dollars worth of rubber off of my rear tires. I get so bored at shows!

Worked on my ongoing project of trying to get my 52 Buick back on the road since I pulled the engine out to do a detail and ad dual carbs and exhaust. Worked on bending and routing fuel hard lines. Also primed and paint the inner fenders.

  15. Worked on finish trims on a house I am contracting in then worked on a fire wall for a blown altered a customer owns , quick knap with teddie, then to the lake for a swim with my wife and boys. Talked to a fellow HAMBer , 29 EH 8, while cooling down. Just alittle of everything to make it interesting. Rob.

Double checked TDC on the 292 in my '63 Biscayne, per Chevy 6 timing issue thread. It's good! But now WTF is the issue?

Worked on my daily driver and made a futile attempt to install some new tires on my lawn tractor. I got them on ok, but getting them aired up was another thing. I think I bitched out everyone from the tire manufacturer to the the dipstick who flattened them to get em into the package for shipping...

Took a break and decided that tomorrow, some inner tubes are on my "must buy" list.

Finishing up a rearend for a 2006 Chevy pickup, then finishing a rearend for a 63 409 Impala and if I have any time left chasing a short in a 70 model Corvette.
    Yep, it's my day job.
