  11. I sketched these out transfered them to 1/8 inch plate, cut them on the band saw then used various hand files and sand paper to shape them.
Turns out they may not work for what I intended them to do after all of that.
The angle of my hood and the cowl are different, making a twisting lock not work so well.

I DO! That's my friend and mechanic Colin who built my 1956 Chevy Pick-Up Lil' Bubba. That's a picture I took of him this past Labor Day at a San Diego Swapmeet & Car Show :)

I love building engines and doing chassis work. While I enjoy doing patch panels I hate sanding Bondo!

Same here. But when it's you're car cost take's effect, got to save the money for building engines and buying chassis parts.

Fixing a mess of someone else's wiring job on our Elco. This car is a prime example of why I don't trust other folks work. 20240904_205348.jpg 20240904_205403.jpg

  26. Understood…fixing to have to do the same on my Chevelle from the guy that had it for a few years. Or, some of it could have been me when I was 19…

20240908_121123.jpg Didn't get much done at the shop it was 111 degrees when I left... 20240908_134242.jpg This is my patio in the shade at home. Screw it , I'm going to sit in my cold jacuzzi....

  29. Jeez, we're in the 50's here already, went to cars n coffee this morning with pants, t-shirt and a sweatshirt on, didn't even roll the windows down in the Henry J, even with those clothes I was still chilly walking around.
It does make for decent garage working, I've spent the last couple days measuring all the angles, distances, speculating thicknesses to locate the hood pins on my curved fenders on the 41.
It all paid off with damn near perfect alignment from my bracket off the cowl at 90 degrees to my 25 degree fender angle and the 1/4 inch hole I put in the fender.
Brackets are done and painted, tomorrow I'll enlarge the fender holes to 7/16 and start trimming the pin to fit the articulation of the fenders.
