If you need a column with a switch, I have a couple. You can have the steering wheel also.

Fixed the rusted out hinge area on the '55 hood and got it swinging on the car. Then discovered the hinge spring is broken.. Little progress.

Finished up the installation of new front leaf spring packs for my '39 Chev coupe front axle. Fabricated a couple new lower shock mounts to make the shocks work again, and avoid buying 2" longer shocks.
Then with my leftover time I dug out my old Mood gas pedal and made up a floor bracket, and installed that also.
Just about done with my winter upgrades list, so last thing is to roll it outside, and climb underneath for a good cleaning.

I finished up a collision job today, another happy customer, had plans to climb under my car to measure the drive shaft, and it hit me, that's not the correct transmission lol, Ashley said, and I quote, "well change the transmission and then measure it".... she's such a good helper.:D

I tried to buy that car but was just a little short and just couldn't justify the extra moneys. My good friend Russ bought it and it will be go in his collections of X frame Chevy 409 powered race cars.

  25. Setup new universal fuel sender in the new fuel cell for the Henry J, hopefully it's somewhat accurate.
I lost the Allen wrench while working on my lap, looked in my pockets, the floor, my waist ban area, pockets again, pants cuff.

    FB_IMG_1679164234222.jpg

It wasn't until I took it off my lap and put it on the table to notice where it was lol

    FB_IMG_1679164266446.jpg

Later I took it back apart to figure out how to get rid of that tail, since it wouldn't fit in the hole in the cell or allow the gasket to slip on...duh

  28. It’s not much but it’s the biggest job I've been able to do since early November. Ran a drill bit through the stud holes to open them up a bit then installed new studs

Changed oil in the roadster. Went to the parts store to get a filter and was told the filter wasn't for an engine but was for a hydraulic system. I didn't bother to explain. I just purchased and left the building!
