  6. Nice timing, getting it done before Francine comes visiting. I sure wish some of that moisture would make its way to western Missouri.

  9. I had some Eelco stickers made from some photos of vintage banged up original stickers, very happy with the results.
They look great on my tank and now have plenty extras.

With help of some very capable friends Clarence is running right again. Looks like we'll be at the STL Hotrod Hundred tomorrow after all. The solution was to replace the Chinesium rotor in the Chinese HEI with the "made in USA" rotor from a GM HEI that I had stored away. Please don't get me started on the HEI deal, as it wasn't my idea in the first place and the story is way too long for here. I'll clean up and rebuild (if necessary) the GM HEI or a factory points distributor and replace the Chinese HEI.

Actually, I was the helper and the friends were the brains of the outfit.

If you're gonna rebuild one, rebuild the cast iron Delco single point one. Problem solved... ;)

I can't argue with that advice.

    Working on making this mine.
I think my Dodge roadster project needs a stablemate. And I might wanna close the windows sometimes. Hard to choose between a coupe and a roadster.
    Problem solved. :)

1931 Plymouth PA 3W business coupe. Oval rear window. Stored for many decades. Super straight and rock solid.
Pick it up in a couple weeks.
    I need another 440 4spd.
    And an 8.75

:mad:Drove to L.A at 0 dark thirty in hopes of picking up a new project. I asked the guy to take pics of any cancer around the windows , floors etc. He sent me pics of just surface rust but nothing major. When we got there it was obvious he was deceiving me. Big hole in roof , rot below windshield, rust bubbles on C pillars and lower quarters 20240914_093216.jpg

  20. Yea, that is a little worse than surface rust…

  21. @lumpy 63 - That sucks! The guy was a clown, obviously. Rust like that on top, the unseen must be horrible.

Did you at least get a favorite eatery in for breakfast/lunch?

The floors were oddly solid, must have lived near the beach.

One day I hope to have a giant 1970s race car hauler in my front yard, one big enough to haul a chevy dually wheelstander:D
