Couldn’t resist for $30 Canadian so about 0.42 cents US. Even works.

I used them plenty of times , staring out as a mechanic . Still to this day on my own OT “ disc pads “ I touch front and back edge with the belt sander , a slight bevel

Is the gauge for the drum with it?

  6. I’m assuming a drum micrometer? No it’s not but I have one.

Typo41 was one of the toughest guys I’ve ever known, he’d have driven that there and back with both windows down and singing to the radio! I sure do miss my old friend!

Im in deep project creep mode on our 64 Elco again...
Started with a bad MSD CDI box. That lead to fixing some wiring. Had to pull the guages to get to the Tach. Had to pull the column to get the guage cluster out. Might as well pull the seat so I have some room to work. Shit, new rag joint needed now too. I've got to repaint the column & dash since I scratched them up. With help from my buddy Ive finally got all the dash lights, interior & exterior lights, & ignition system working properly. Time to put all this crap back together. Don't judge my mess... 20240916_104025.jpg 20240916_161911.jpg 20240911_225250.jpg 20240916_191041.jpg 20240910_211525.jpg

Thought it might have been some structural support! You could probably sell it on eBay as “vintage”.

I've been talking about building a set of cribbing blocks for 30 years. That changed today. I was going to add another course but they seem to be near the limits of my floor jack and they create plenty of work space under the car. IMG_6296.jpg

  17. One of those cheap Harbor Freight wooden furniture dollies is great to store them on when not in use, just wheel them out of the way or to all four corners of the car.

  21. I just picked up 5 Chevy 6 lug steel wheels on my way home from work. 15”x5.5”, sandblasted and painted black for $125. I want to put different tires on Papaw and my stock 16” wheels are so narrow, it’s a little tough to find any without going to a specialty tire place like Coker. Now to find some 10” (or so, rough measurement), stock Chevy truck hubcaps…….
