That looks like a pretty cool gizmo to seat the studs with. I didn't know any such thing existed. I've always just turned a lug nut around to the flat side and pulled the stud through.

Is that "store bought" or home made?

Put new tires on the front of the Vette today . Took the wife for her first ride, she hung on to the oh shit bar the whole time and I only hit it from a roll once....:p

  4. Thanks for the avatar.... uh..... I mean post. Yea, that's it..... thanks for the POST!

  5. It’s store bought made for installing studs. It’s a bearing shaped to fit a lug nut it makes it a lot easier to pull the studs in

In the middle of building a sort of old-fashioned kind of engine test/tune/display stand.

  12. I am closing in on this bulkhead project, about 8 nut-zerts, couple 90 degree brackets and some drilling and tapping in the aluminum to go.

    Thanx; that's really cool.

We all need to find out what kind of batteries H-D installs in their bikes and see if they make car batteries. A while back I replaced the battery that had been in one of my H-D's since new. It was 12 years old and still cranking just fine. I only changed it 'cause I was beginning to be afraid I'd be 3 states from home and it would give out.

Minor winter changes to my '39 Chev coupe. New front springs, and lower shock mounts. And a new (old) gas pedal!

What am I working on? Decluttering. That means getting rid of stuff. I have too much stuff. I have stuff on the floor, in the attic, out in the yard. The shed is full too. I'll never get anything done if I don't get rid of some stuff. Had to leave the lawn mower outside this winter because the shed is full of car stuff.
It's spring cleaning time, so I've decided to get rid all the projects and associated parts. Except one. I bought a 56 chevy two door hardtop last year that has not been touched. It's been out behind the house. I will devote myself to this car and nothing else.
I have stuff that I did'nt even know I had.
Just sold the 31 widebed steel top pickup and all Model A stuff.
Various off topic chevy pickups, gotta go.
Keeping my daily driver, a 1967 Chevy C30 flatbed dually dump and the 56 Chevy. Nothing else.
    That's what I'm working on.

Got my corned beef and cabbage started. Now I can go deliver a PCV valve and try and sell a pallet full of valve seats.

Well I was planning on boxing the rear trailing arms on a 65 chevelle convertible today, but at 7:30 this morning they asked me to work overtime again today. So I'll be back in the shop on Friday

Your going to half fight my wife for the corned beef. Now the valve seats is a different story. :D

  29. Got most of the welding done on this chop. Lowered it 5 inches.

  30. I’m finishing another project started before my “unfortunate back incident” sidelined me for the winter. I’m installing a modified mopar master cylinder on my vette. The early vettes had an odd three bolt mount. The fancy aftermarket pos failed and is too expensive so a mopar unit was modified to suit. I can’t take credit for the idea. I found pics on a corvette site.
