are you going to drill and tap those bolt heads to complete the kit?

Hardly. The car has 1/4-20 flange nuts already. The only fastener kit I’m going to get is for the grill it’s self. The upper six clip’s are unique so I’ve got no choice but to buy them. IMG_3703.jpeg IMG_3677.jpeg

cruising the local listings stumbled across this,
    a '63 Olds 394 for cheap..
so of course it followed me home today.
'haven't made even the beginnings of a plan yet,
or even a place to tuck it away
here it hangs like a filthy carcass
it will find another dark corner tomorrow

    it's a sickness I tell ya..

I’ve been prepping my Sedan body for some paint at my friends body shop. All finally prepped..I think, that was almost 3 weeks, now masking, two days of it so far..
I’m not painting the complete body, just the bits I’ve repaired, then it will be blended to match the ‘age’ of the original paint.

I made the headers for the 348 in my 40, it was a lot of work, I definitely went the long way about doing it, and won’t be doing it again. Showcars sell header flanges for these.

The fastest car my parents ever had when I was a teenager was a 1961 Oldsmobile with a 394. I would bet it was a 2-bbl. Later in life I had muscle cars and learned what fast really is but for a 16-year-old kid it seemed really fast.

Makes me jealous. You don't want to see my junked-up shop.

Don't know if we're bragging or just showing but here's mine over the years. 438301820_7930752383615645_4860143027157102284_n.jpg 459637796_8639871722703704_4988940795441406021_n.jpg 463881154_8938857002805173_7747482363594558424_n.jpg 468251552_9182337651790439_9155308214855976613_n.jpg
