    I did pull the bowls off yesterday, wow, amazing how fast the ethanol turns to shit!! Cleaned everything up and stuck it back together. I'm in love with how the car runs now. If you ever hear me talk about another single 4 tunnel ram, slap the taste out of my mouth lol... can't wait to hit the damn road in my car again!!!

  3. Looks nice Lloyd. I think I would just bolt it in.

    I can sympathize with you, I went thru that 7 years ago after complications with my gastric cancer surgery that left me in a coma for a month followed by being confined to a hospital bed for another 6-8 weeks. Going thru physical therapy got me back on my feet and walking again in a few months, so you still have time to get back in the game and make the trip to Lloydstock!

    Lloyd; if you weld that frame in will you still be able to remove/replace the tank without doing a frame off?

    Yeah all ya gotta do is remove the 1/4" bolts around the perimeter and it lifts out. Where it's basically a station wagon without a roof, it has a fairly healthy subframe that sits on the X frame rails. I'll fasten the tank frame to that. I do thing with the thought in mind of "the next guy can put it back stock", but in all honestly, that'll be after I'm dead, so I shouldn't worry about that lol

    But I'm thinking out loud. If I mount it to the bottom of that rail, I'll have clearance over the tank to fabricate a filler pipe all the way back to the fuel door on the quarter panel, instead of having it in the bed.... hmmmm

    I really like the idea of the filler pipe in a fuel door.

    I've went to great lengths to be able to fill Clarence from a filler door instead of the fill cap being in the middle of the floor inside the cabin.

    Yeah I feel ya buddy, I threw the heap together last year, just to get it on the road. The 10 gallon fuel cell was used because i had it lol, and a sheet of plywood in the floor because I had it too lol. I took the jigsaw and cut an access hole :confused: wasn't my greatest work, but I put about 500 miles on it that trip and everything worked, just had to stop for gas a lot and move stuff to get to the lid lol

    @WTF really

    Is that an original Corvette frame? I had a '66 50 years ago but have never seen a frame without the body on it.

    I got this in a good state of tune.

    Then I was chasing what I thought was play in the steering.

    Turned out to just be a traction issue.

    It’s been around before the red 56 and the green 57. Back on it now.

  27. The dome came home, so a real quick mockup, I'm digging it, now to figure out what to stick it with.

  28. Found this model T hub cap in a box of stuff I picked up. It ocurred to me that it might just fit my steering wheel in place of a horn button. Ran it across the buffer and snapped it in place. Few blems makes it fit right in with my style lately!
