  4. Still in AOD purgatory. Not leaking, so that hurdle is in the past, but testing the four ports for pressure prior to setting the throttle velocity cable has yielded alarming results.
    The driver's side port - system pressure, shows 60 under cruising speed (around 2,500 rpm). I think it should be probably three times as high. When I rev it up in Drive, pressure can climb as high as 80 and the driveline/rear axle spins just fine.
    On the p***enger's side, the ports are showing:
    Front - 55 in Drive or One, and zero pressure otherwise, with the driveline running just fine in both forward gears, but not in reverse.
    Middle (throttle velocity port) - zero and DRY, no fluid coming into this vital port.
    Back - Zero pressure but wet.
    Regardless of what I do, Reverse doesn't engage.
    I interpret the dry middle port and no pressure at the back port to indicate there are obstructions in the transmission case, not down in the valve body. That means pulling the transmission yet again (third time's charm? I wish!) and taking it completely apart to chase the obstruction in the hydraulic system.
    When running through the gears, the transmission pumps fluid in Park, strains a bit in Reverse but doesn't move the driveline/rear axle, eases a bit in Neutral but still pumps fluid, then engages the driveline/rear axle in Drive and One.
    I think I'll turn my attention to getting gl*** installed and start the long process to get it ***led and licensed, just to take a break from this nasty, challenging transmission.

    Well that’s not good! That looks like a Mopar service manual, what transmission is it?

    Lumpy63 is working on rehab after knee surgery, but it has only slowed him down. He still goes to the shop to supervise his Camaro build.

  10. Here's hoping Colin recovers quickly and is fully mobile sooner than later. Thanks to him, my cooling system fits together perfectly.

    Seat inserts are done for the bottom cushion. I was planning to do tops***ch horizontal pleats but really struggled with keeping the lines perfectly straight. To avoid wasting expensive materials I opted for a simpler design. The inserts are slightly oversized, but it’s a lot easier to trim some material off than it is to add more material.

    Currently going through the absolute misery of rebuilding the rear ends of the rockers including the door opening step on my 51 Styleline.

    I see repair panels are available but the cost of getting them shipped to Scotland makes them out of the question!

    Need to take a 'mechanical break' and get the transmission out for a clean and reseal and get on Okie Bush fitted to the torque tube.
