:cool:Gas prices got me thinking about a 4 cylinder hot rod engine. So I located a Mercruiser 3.0 Chevy II type engine . Has the big port head and I got a set of forged 327 pistons that will be fly cut for zero deck. Building my own intake manifold and the twin 48 DCOEs should be here tomorrow:cool:

I have a thread talking about this one, but mainly working on my son’s Edsel right now. Still trying to finish swapping the engine. Been busy and hot lately, so not going as fast as planned.

I am a little a.d.d, so i like to work on 3 or 4 at a time. I have been on the healey, the 34, and the 32 for a year. This weekend I was cleaning up, and started piling together parts, by the end of the weekend, i had another project. CA0BDBAD-ACDB-43F5-A80C-68D099A89016.jpeg

Been restoring a pair of Carter AFB's for a dual quad set up. Including my own Zink plating/Chromate. Thinking of doing a thread on it.

I chopped my '33 3 1/2 inches and am now working on everything else. This was a running car but I turned it into a project. It will have a few OT features for comfort and reliability because as a certified old fart I'm past the point of arriving (or not) at my destination feeling like I've been dragged 600 miles in an oil drum. I'm working on everybody else's junk. Went through a late model O/T pickup for my office manager's son, rebuilt the carb on my town's 1937 Dodge Brothers antique firetruck, next up is a coworker's 1954 Chevy pickup needs a tune because it's been off the road for 20 years and he needs it NOW, and then there's the guy with the Austin Healey 3000 that I need to look at his SU carbs to get it running right. My car has been reliable and well behaved, so I can do this.

Finished the rewire/12 volt conversion on the Ranch Wagon. Only a couple of minor issues and the smoke is still in the wires. Getting ready to pull the 302/AOD for a trip to the rebuilders.

  30. Finally getting some time in working on the 37 Ford Ute. It was taken off the road for some body rust repair and repaint about 9 years ago. You all know the paint shop hell stories and how long it can seem to take. Well, paint got done almost 5 years ago, then moved cross country, and the car was put int the garage and sat there until past few weeks. Of course been busy on other project cars, other old car maintenance and house/garage things, but glad to have the 37 Ford Ute getting back together. Test fired off the engine for the first time today. Been since 9 years ago that it ran. Still long time to be finished, as the whole car is being rewired, all new glass, and several upgrades on other areas. But progress is being made on it finally.
