I dial it in and drill two 3/16” holes thru the shield and into the block and hammer a dowel in each. I hate screwing with big guide/dowels.

Just messing around in the garage a little bit. Trying to get some stuff put where it goes. Trying to figure out some crap to put on Facebook marketplace (not car related). Organized some parts by project and got a bit more on the shelf out of the floor.
I also got the banner that Ethan bought me for Father’s Day at the reunion in Bowling Green. 016BC4B8-0566-4507-90A5-114EEE49A49D.jpeg image.jpg

Hell yeah! Because what's worse than trying to make one carburetor work right? 2 of the damn things! At least they're up high so you can get to them right? :p:D

Lumpy, you need to get Uncle Steve motivated and get his on the off topic Pilgram. I think Lumpy has a tunnel ram on everything he owns!

I worked on a buddy’s car most of the day today. But still managed to put some miles on mine this evening, testing out the new brakes I threw on a few days ago.

Are those Trick Flow's or Speedway head's, and how do you like them?

They are Trick flow, the speedway versions looked obviously wrong in the valve cover area. They have 60cc chambers and the intake volume is 175ccs, not gunna set the world on fire but will out perform an iron head without the detonation issues at 10.85 compression.

  24. Still working on the never ending Barracuda project…found more rust. Then started straightening out the rear valence, decided it was Quicker/easier to cut it off and straighten it.

it’s now tacked back on to the car so I can build the last piece on the drivers side. All the underlying rust is fixed.

  25. I fought the damndest issue today, float bowl screws kept leaking, 2 different sets of new gaskets, swapped the screws from another carb with the old gaskets and it slowed it down but didn't stop.
I ended up swapping bowls from another carb and swapped over all the new stuff inside the original bowls into the replacement bowls, tomorrow I'll see if it fixed it or not.
I've rebuilt a lot of carbs but never had an issue like this, I drained those float bowls way to many times, whole damn place reaked of gas.

Did someone drill out the holes? they look big...

  29. I'm not sure

I seen a set of those aluminum camel humps on marketplace, didn't last long, but the 60cc is way to small for little pop-ups in my short block.
