Quite honestly, I’ve bought more gaskets and pulled the pan to check rods, mains, oil pump bolts, because I couldn’t remember for sure if I torqued everything.

 

I’ll pull the pan, maybe I can throw one rod in it. Maybe tighten it this time.

 

Today’s victory. I really felt that all of the latch hardware on the rear doors on my Morris woody should be chrome. So I pulled it apart, ground the heads off the rivets and had it done. I thought I took plenty of before pictures. It took me a while to figure it out and get it back together but I did it. I’m very pleased with it (I refuse to think about the cost - ugh)

I can sympathise. I just fired up a fresh rebuilt sbc the other day. Was pretty nervous about some catastrophic failure but so far so good. Im hoping better times ahead for you, after hearing about your deer trouble earlier

 

Hell man in our little world you're the equivalent of an "influencer". You could probably sell autographs. Wish I could get there, maybe next year, looking forward to living vicariously though.

This is a consideration actually, I’m thinking I may blow the truck apart and fix a few other things I’m not super happy with anyways. I could build another motor for the truck.
