I will only go if i drive my 53

    or

have a "Hambster" built depending on the rules.

    maybe

flat tow the hambster behind the 53?

I want to see more HAMB'sters to run with. Second goal: my old Chevy is tired. She needs a heart transplant. I also want to spend the weekend at the Ramada. Driving home late ****s and I want to hang out and unwind.

To get my coupe there under its own power. To find the sumbich who got my cookie. :p

  4. Have more fun than this year?;)

I would like to have the roadster their next year even if it isn't yet street legal. But only time and finances will tell.

  5. I've been working on my 40 chevy ever since I found H.A.M.B. Went to the drags not knowing what I was getting into. Found out there was fellow HOT RODDERS out there. ****** and engine are ready to slide in. Big valves , big cam and big Pro Tracs out back. The fenders and interior might not be done, but the tires should spin. Sorry for rambling I tend to do that. Later

    Mick :)

Get the 57 wagon roadworthy with a floor if I am lucky! Otherwise its Flintstone style! Find a way to get the roof flaked in time. I got a 03 and an 05 timing tag to fill!!!

Frist and formost drive my a sedan there. Second run quick enough to make Famedabone nervous with his "drive there and i will spot you two cars "hopefully with some help from the St. Joseph, Mo guys,8th Grade Genius , Pontaicguy, Blkmerc, and everyone else it will happen. Third not letting Flamedabone, T-Man, and Blkmerc keep me up all nite corupting me.

I am going to start training about 6 months before the drags. Drink lotsa beer stay up all night etc. Then maybe I can last until 7AM like a couple of guys I know. :D

I have to have the '04 raffle engine in a car & run it there next year. Get Fred to tune it for me. Thinking i will put it in the 32 and drive it all the way there & back. The old Gibbon body has a fixed 8" tall windshield & no cowl vent so don't give my old self grief if it has A/C.

  16. Dont try this at home, we are professionals!

Seriously, I think it was 6:30 AM, Blakmerc and I are in the lawnchairs in front of the hotel. I dont know if I noticed it first or he did, but, the sun was coming up!

He said something about us watching the sunrise, I looked around and said that I think we proved our point, time for sleep.

At least thats what I THINK happened.

CrazyD deserves props for driving the 12 hours EACH way. I slept the first 6-8 hours !

At my age my first goal is just making it that long which I sure as hell plan to.
I plan to be there just to say I went to my first drag race 50 years ago, which I did. I might even bring my old Ford ragtop and see if I can make it down the strip without getting lost. I don't care how fast I go as long as I don't do something stupid like leaving a turn signal on.
And now the old mans advice to you kids:
Do the things you enjoy and be with the people you like. You will never regret it.

PS Do Senior Citizen get an extra cookie?

2.) Helping Atch with the Buick straight 8 Hambster.

3.) loose some weight...I need to get rid of the Dunlop

4.) Take Nic to the ****y bar

Spook I don't think so, at least I didn't get an extra cookie.

  20. What he said , but without the expensive painful rib thing.

    (hope you're feeling better)

  21. Larry, I've seen your picture. You don't need a cookie, you want a cookie. In fact, you don't need any more beers either. Mail them to me. And the cookie too.

Hey, I only have your health in mind, that's the kind of guy I am. :D

Seeing as I've missed my goal the last two years I'll try once more. 1. GET THERE 2. HAVE A GOOD TIME (and meet about 100 HAMBers I don't know) 3. GET HOME AND LIVE TO TELL ABOUT IT. :D
