specifically; on my '56 dash gauges; the trim rings had rubber in them and it has completely dried up and fallen out. restoring the dash and need to address this issue soon.

tried all kinds of o-rings from my own store; nothing seemed to work right. too thick, too thin, too hard; all kinds of issues with them. looked at gasket cork as well; that might be a fall-back fix.

i had completely forgot tee-bird. thanks! heck; i'm not gonna bother reusing those dingy rusty trim rings if i can get a NEW set. waiting for time to finish the repairs on the dashboard where i welded up previous owner's radio installation handiwork.. kinda working out-of-sequence on the car, but i'm short funds for the sheetmetal i need, so getting the rust and grunge dealt with is a small victory. hopefully a trip to Temple's soon will score me a lock panel, tail panel, and some other badly needed stuff.
