What cars have a light switch that turns, not pulls out?

  1. Mercedes from the late 70s thru the 80s had a rotary switch for the lights. Dome light is operated by another switch in the dash. The knob also comes off by pulling on it easy and it is held in by a 14 or 15 mm hex nut. Keep in mind that these switches turn on the parking lights, then the headlights if you turn the switch to the right. It will operate the parking lights right and left side separately if you turn it to the left. I've never understood why Mercedes did that. Must be a European thing.................E
