IMG_2843.jpeg I want to see everyone that has an Anglia or Prefect. I have everything to paint my Prefect Red. BUT my Willy’s is Red. Was considering another color for the Prefect. You aren’t going to hurt my feelings. And yes multi colors are good also. I have doors, rear fenders , trunk , and front cap already to unbolt. I painted the Willy’s while it was apart and it helped me a lot. And it’s a lot smaller than the Willy’s which is a plus.
Let it rip. I want to see what you got.
    Thanks.

I would paint it white with blue lace on the sides. The white will help it to stay cool when you're racing with the windows closed.

The white would help hid some things. Its solid. But it’s still not a perfect body. And it is a race car so that’s a thought. I got a gallon of orange also.
Had a 56 that had the plug crazy purple and loved it.
Also I am going single stage. I cleared the Willy’s and even though it shines etc I have some orange peel that I need to buff out. Didnt have it before the clear. Dont plan on clearing this one.

  7. Mitchell, my one friend has 2 '48s one is bright red with candy purple stripes and the other is off white and bright green (with a grey tweed interior- YUCK). I like the red one, he built it over 40 years ago,,, buick odd fire v6, Saginaw 4 speed and a red and black velour button tufted interior...oh yea OPEL front suspension. ;) Mitch

Well, since you are asking, no orange, no purple, and no yellow. I hate all of those colors on cars. But, that is me.

Something slick about paneled Anglias/Prefects.... tossing a fade into the panel works be slick too.

    Not this much paneling...

My Anglia was a Cadillac, Firethorn Red, and Irmine White. Painted about 1982, in a semi tractor parking lot, gravel feld.
Far as I know (about two years or so back), it still is...

I like the gold also but would feel kinda guilty/copy cat of Ohio’s Gasser. That’s Holy Ground there.

The quick ones in my part of the country were red. Really liked those cars.

I have Flame Red. ( same color as my Willys) Kirker KS- 51429
I have Candy Apple Red/ with metal flake.( Western / older gallon Ive had for many years.
I have A/C Orange. Acrylic Enamel.
I have several single quarts of various blues / and even a gold.
    All are acrylic enamel.
I am a single stage paint person. And I hope I will do a better job and not use clear on this one.
I am looking for that one color or car that really sticks.
Problem with many of the older photos is that they were black and white / hard to tell their true color.
    Keep it coming.
