Class of 2011.My friends 68 Notchback Barracuda. It's getting a big block in it as we speak . The only vehicle that was pre 64 was another friends 54 chevy truck that got the standard streetrod build. Digital gauges, a 4.3 vortec, and a hideous ass paint job. Yellow and orange ekg stripes to be exact.

Class of '73 here - I had a '64 Olds Dynamic 88 4-door (similar body style to your '63). Mine was beige with a brown interior and had the 2-bbl 394. My friends called it the Queen Mary and when we went to the drive-in movies, we always set sail in the Queen.

Class of '72: Yes, I was an IDIOT! I was driving my Dad's purchased-new '55 Chevy 2 door hardtop Belair. 235, 3 spd with overdrive. Originally black over two tone orange/red & ivory interior. But of course I didn't want it. It was a 17 year old car at the time. Like a '94 car your parent's bought new would be today.

Gave it back to my dad and bought a '66 Chevy van, dropped a LOT of work & money (well, as much as a $2.35/hr job at Sears would let me) on it. Such a damn fool. My dad sold it for $450!

  18. Class of 1974. Car was '72 Chevelle SS. Bought for 1,400 hard earned lawn mowin, leaf-raking, floor sweeping, rock picking, etc. dollars. Traded for Datsun pickup (kick self again!) in 1980.

Internet pic of car ... mine was the same, even the wheels are real close. I get teary-eyed just thinking about it (kick self once more !!).

My little brother graduated in '05. This was his car, our first total restoration. It had a 170, then a 250, then finally a tired, tired 302. It wasn't fast, or exceptionally nice - but it was his, until I wrecked it while he was in college. I sold it to some guy in Philly with the LR 1/4 cut off, I wonder what happened to it.

1978 - mine was a '63 Plymouth Belvedere longroof mild custom with a 64 hemi hood scoop and old max wedge wheels with rings and poverty caps.

Certainly not the coolest, or the badest, but I was ahead of my time.

1981 I was the lone traditional guy at my school. Drove a 65 f100. Loved that truck. Still have it although its mostly a parts truck now thanks to a drunk driver hitting me head on.

'65 GTO in 1970. Paid for it baggin' groceries. Lots of fun. Lots of friendly street racing. Only lost one time - to another 65 Goat! Course I chose my races carefully. Wish I had that car back.

1951 Chevrolet Bel-Air. Put in a 235 and switched over to 12V and drove the hell out of it. Many broken trannies and axles before I swapped out the enclosed driveline with a 4 speed and a 9 inch.

Bought it in 1995 when I was 15. Daily driver till I went in the Marine Corps. Just started a full frame off on it this year.

Had a 63 Ford Fairlane 500 I bought for $400 with a rebuilt motor and blown-out headlights. Loudest car you ever heard, 3 speed stick on the floor, 5 gallon can for a fuel tank, no rear seats, and loads of smiles when piled hi with buddies. =)
