1964 Grand Prix had the eight lug wheels.

  9. Man, it would be weird to live there. When I was in school, it was still more likely to have a V8 than anything else, but that was changing. Still tons of V8s here; especially in trucks.

None were cool at the time but I wish I had all three back: '60 Fairlane with 292, two tone green/white, '62 Bel Air former six banger with a 348 transplant, and last '65 Dart GT convert.

I'm a senior right now. I have a 1951 F-1 with a 350/350 combo with offy 360, headers, and 600 Holley. It is still a work in progress. I might be able to drive it this year. I have a 69 F-100 with a 401 Fe and C6 with a mild cam performer rpm manifold, 600 Holley, headers and dual exhaust. It is a driver/ project. I am rebuilding the heads now. I drive it to school now and then.

Alot of you were born after I graduated in 1977. This is what I played around with 31 years ago. I rebuilt the 383, .030 over with 10.5-1 pistons, Torker manifold with a 750 Holley, headers, Hurst 4 speed on the console. Black bucket seat interior with the wood grain wheel. I painted it myself in a rented garage. Got tired of the car and the girl after 10 years and haven't seen them since. I keep my eye out for that car though!

I had two cool cars in my serior year in 1966, the first and most fun was my 34 ford pickup every day driver and second a 1962 dodge 413 dart (x-ramchargers ss/a), this car was converted to the street and was a killer on the street but yet ran low 11's/120+ with 4:56 gears on 7" M&H slicks at US 131 Martin MI. In '67 made the car to run ss/ca with a 383 2-4bbls and made it through NHRA div 3 semi finals. Now I am only into hot rods after havin many street machines, hot rods and drag cars in the past 30 years, but now have only a duece highboy which is just too much fun.

  22. Here's mine. '68 Chevelle, SBC 350, TH400, etc. I give most of the credit to my brother for the build. Attended lots of car shows & cruise nights around metro Detroit in the early 90's. A&W on Hall Rd., Race Rock on Groesbeck, Pampa's on Van Dyke, etc. David Freiberger from Hot Rod even did a photoshoot at Freedom Hill and it was featured in the magazine a couple times as kinda of a "low buck" cool ride type of article. Drove it to Senior Prom, too. Immediately after high school, we moved to OK and I dumped some money into it to make it go fast. Had alot of fun with it for a couple years. Brother's got it now and it just sits in his shop as we've both lost interest in muscle cars lately. Can't seem to let it go though.

I had a 1982 Delorean DMC-12. Biggest pile of crap I've ever owned. Looked pretty badass though. Gullwing doors are awesome.

I didn't own a car in my senior year in high school.
    But Mom did!

When Chevy came out with the Camaro, in '67, my mom
bought the first one in town. Marina blue, 327, and nasty
wheel covers. When I saw the Z28 and SS versions I asked
her if I could paint stripes on it. I think that she wasn't exctly
paying close attention when she said 'ok'.

So out came the masking tape, paint and newspaper.
In about three hours, while she was having coffee with my aunt
in the kitchen I did the job. I combined SS AND Z28 stripes
for a pretty unique look. I thought that she might not appreciate
it when she saw it... but... I about lost it when she said that she liked it!

Gulp! A month or so later I suggested mags!
I had to pay for those myself... but again she liked it.
    My mom's pretty cool.

I also had a 1938 Dodge pickup that I messed with quite a bit, but never had running.
