I had a 69 Camaro and a 68 Dart GTS. Those were the coolest ones at the time!

This was my senior picture in 2006. Its a 1955 Desoto and I bought it when I was 15 and I'm never going to sell it. It also got voted coolest car in the parking lot with a pic in the year book.

class of '98. I had no car my senior year after I threw a rod in a '78 Malibu (307?) my junior year. It's all kind of funny now.

Class of 96. Don't have a pic of it, but it was a baby blue 1976 Ford Gran Torino 4dr HT with dark blue vinyl roof. Not a "cool" car, but cool to me. Ran it into the ground for 5 years and sold it to a guy that just wanted the engine. Got all but $50 of what I paid for it back.

P.S. Do you know how hard it is to find a pic of one of these things that hasn't been Starsky and Hutched?

1962 Buick Le sabre 2 door hardtop. 401 nail-head with a 2 speed power-glide. The only guy that could outrun it was a kid that bought a 1969 Chevelle with a 402, his cost $4,000 back then, mine cost $400!

    I miss that car.

Man! I wish I had had a senior year in high school. I got kicked out when I was a junior JD. But.....I drove a 55 Chevy Bel Air 2dr sedan up until I got kicked out. 235 6 cyl with a 3 speed and 4.11 rear gears. I never lost a race in that car and I ran a lot of early 60's Impalas with small blocks plus every other 6 cylinder in town. Great memories. BTW, it would have been the class of 67. Ancient history.

'69 Super Bee. Built 440 automatic, 3.23 Sure-Grip 8 3/4". Red, black bench seat, column shifter, and black steel wheels with no hubcaps. People always laughed at the column shifter until they rode in it.

  21. Class of '82, I had my 1969 MGB-GT. Maybe O/T but I thought is was cool and I still have it. :D

See my avatar. That was my high school parking lot. 2005.

1934 Plymouth rumble seat high-boy. Black Primer. .030 over 396 / Turbo 350. Started working on it when I turned 13. Brought it home in two pickup trucks. Got it legal at 16. No turning back. Its now got pinstripe flames.

I drove it everytime the weather would allow. Everybody liked it, but nobody but my g.f. (now wife) would ride in it. They said I was crazy, no seat belts, too loud, no windows etc...

Driver's Ed teach, had a cow when I pulled it in the first time. I thought he would gripe, but he started one of those "I used to have a '34 Ford" stories. (Which I love to listen to)

    Good times!

I just remembered that I also had and drove a very cool 54 210 2 dr sedan. It was black (shiny black and straight) with a 364 nailhead Buick engine, 57 Corvette 3 speed, and 57 Chev rear axle. It had red and black salt/pepper style carpet on the door panels and floor and red and black seat covers. Sounds kinda funky, but it actually looked pretty good. Got the girls OK. That is what would have been my senior year, if I had one. Now I just have senior moments. Like when I forgot I had this car. It's hell getting old. db
