Look, you gotta feel for the moderators. They have enough on their hands with the scammers and hackers as it is. I can understand why they don’t want to spend an inordinate amount of time every day debating whether one particular thread out of hundreds may or may not be of such quality that it be allowed to cross the line. Rules streamline the decision-making process. All in all, they do a good job of keeping this site on topic. Several years ago, it seemed a lot of rat rod and later-build stuff was creeping in. They took stock of the situation and took a firm line to preserve Ryan’s vision for the site. I remember the announcement. And yes, it occasionally means we miss out on some talented work. But if they hadn’t done it, the place could have devolved into a free-for-all.
I've had posts deleted before that I thought fit in, but obviously didn't. I also have asked /answered questions that I knew would get deleted, but got the answers in time. It's just a forum and a post, get over it and have fun!
