    That's what I like to hear! ;)

I got "Rockin' Down the Highway"...it's ever better than I thought it would be. Good bits of hot rod history, mixed with rock 'n roll, and some INCREDIBLE pictures of the early days. (And a few amusing shots of rappers with their 80s Caddys). Also got a calender with early performance cars, Auburns, Cords etc. And last but not least, my favorite car related gift...some time off from the cars!!! :D

My wife of 22 years doesn't understand my bikes or the truck. So she gave me money and said she accepts that the bike or truck will never be really "finished" :D

Of course gettig the official "go ahead" changes everything. I might even buy a cpl of new parts vs used.

Mrs Clause bought me a set of hot coated lake headers! My folks sprung for a moon tach and a red flake wheel. Little girl thought daddy needed some 42 hubcaps, so Mrs Clause spring for those as well.

Am i stoked..........you bet i am. With the Canadian buck at par or better santa dont take it up the poop shoot to bring goodies for Hot Rods.

    I got a Vertex mag.

My dad has a '36 Dodge panel that is a work in progress. We decided to motivate him a little...

Here's some of the stuff he got.

I got him a HAMB calendar.
The picture actually came from a thread here. It's a boatload of '36 Dodge's ready to be shipped off. My mom mounted it and framed it.
My uncle got him two diecast models.

    I got the following:
8" DeWalt Bench Grinder from my daughter.
    Craftsman roll-around shop stool.
3-piece set of 1/2" drive extensions.

Amazon.com wishlists work well for those members of your family who are mechanically challenged and don't have a clue what is a bench grinder. That's not my daughter. But, if its automotive/tool related and it's available on Amazon, set up a wish list and let your family know about it.
