I attached my freshly sprayed inner fenders. Next weekend, we spray the main body.

If work schedule permits, I'll have it re***embled in time to get some muddy hotlaps at the Scary Larry's Jalopy Showdown this spring. [IMG]

I got the firewall on the Merc a little more closer to being done. The car is off the camper jacks, and officially "one car" now...instead of two...

Jeez, we're only half-way through the weekend! So far, our crowd got the Bonneville car out of the trailer and into the shop in prep for knocking it apart to get it ready for Speed Week '04. There are better than 800 hours needed and committed to bringing the car back on line and race safe. In addition, an additional 400-600 hours will be spent on the back-up motor, plus another 200 hours repairing the primary motor.

This is going to be our big year, the one in which we really kick *** and get our record back with a big margin -- and a giant grin!

Roger, you nailed it with those exhaust pipes..great angle cut to match the face bar. Hope the exhaust doesn't discolor the chrome.
Saturday, I helped Lukester load the willys he bought from me.. Stopped by my Buddy, Jamie's to see his new 55 chevy hardtop project on my way home.
Today, I'm babysitting the phone....got the Rocky 36 in the paper.....playing on the HAMB, catching up some laundry and painting a wall in the extra bedroom...

Jonnycola...yep, got many more pics, however the only thing HAMBers are going to see is bits and pieces UNTIL the Caddy makes its' debut at the Kontinental Lonestar Round-up in Austin, Texas the end of March.

Thanx Rocky, believe it or not, those four pipes took over eight hours of work, including cutting the bumper...don't really care if the bumper gets discolored...just means it gets driven!!!

Spent yesterday day helping a friend get his 55 chevy pu over to the body shop. Today I took the dash apart on the wagon in preparation for the new AC unit.. Damn its big.. Got the parts on the work bench and the instructions sitting on my desk. Need to figure out how to put 10 lbs in a 5 lb container and still have a glovebox for the tunes

Aint' done nothing yet.... been trying to hock that motor of mine. Only thing I've done so far is drilled out the brackets on my rims for the dogdishes so I can snap on the '56 Olds caps I've got. It's going to look really nice when they are all on there with the wide whites.

finally worked out the pedal and mater cyl fitting in the RPU- what a *****. only 4" to play with vertically and trying to keep as much legroom as possible...
the fluid reservoir sits up 1 1/2" into the cab, ill make a domed removable cover over it, itll be under the knees when sitting in it.
managed to keep to the 90% Ford rule ive set-pedal and pivot are 35 ford,Im actually using the clutch pedal for a brake as it sits better.master is ford too.
Now I can do the rest of the Xmember!

  30. Went to the Grand Rapids Autorama yesterday. A few interesting cars - notably a '54 Merc Panamerica Road Race car that ran it last year. Pretty hard core, 351 equipped and capable of 155 top. Bought 3 Highway 61 A roadster die cast cars. Today, worked on the track roadster nose and finished painting a set of '35 wires for a pals modified. Painting wire wheels ****s/
