After nearly 3 months of ideas and mocking some different grills up, i finally got them made. Took all weekend aswell.

Had them on the car for all of 2 minutes last night, removed and now s****. The mock up looked good, the finshed article looked ****** awful.

Oh well option 2 i think.

    All good fun though!!

Got to do some practice welding on a rolling fire pit that lost a leg to rust. Practiced on the other 3 legs as well. Note to self, you need more practice!!! :D

Started tearing the front sheetmetal off of my 55 chevy pickup to get ready for a 79 camaro front clip swap! Exciting and nerve racking at the same time.

  7. Spent several hours cleaning a set iron GT-40 heads for the 302 I am putting together. Also checked the bearings for the crank and rods. I swear every time I even look at it money goes up in smoke!

I replaced the heater core in my 2001 Dodge ***mins Ram. I hope I NEVER have to do that again. I got bandaids on bandaids due to sharp edged sheetmetal and little tiny screws everywhere. Good thing I'm up to date on the tet**** shots.

Finished my rear crossmember on my '32 frame, worked on the front bones mounts and boxed in the front frame horns.
Sunday was clean the house and paint the living room

  11. Saturday I was fairly productive. I wire wheeled a few pulleys and parts, pulled some other rusty parts out of the mol***es bath and gave them a scrub, and added a few more parts to the bath. I made some measurements and took some pictures of the original Oldsmobile linkages I have that connect the carb to the hydro, and I rolled my other Olds 324 out into the driveway to fire it up. A few blips of the throttle had me grinning like a little kid.

Sunday, I took apart the original (I think) 34 seat to ***ess the frame and get rid of the old packing material. The bottom of the bench looks good with a few repairs needed. The top on the other hand is completely shot. In addition to all of the rusty broken springs, I had a mouse jump out at me. Decided junking it might be the best option. Also pulled the '57 Chevy rear out, as it's the next project. It's fairly rusty, so I spent some time getting nuts loose and pulling the rusted brake hardware.

Things always take longer than it seems they will.

Worked 16 hours on the car this weekend. Figured out a way to mount my carson top to the body. Welded everything in and made it look a good as I could. Started prepping the car for paint. Found out I really hate block sanding...

  13. Finally decided to restore this fire call box that I was tripping over in the garage for the last year or so...

I went out in the freezing cold weather with the nasty north wind in my 54 and put a half naked girl in front of my car and took some pictures for a couple hours. Can't post anymore pics right now as I am working with the local burlesque group on putting out a vintage pin up calendar.

Started all 3 of my cars, pulled them out of the garage, swept the garage with the cars warming up, drove each of the cars around the 'hood for awhile and then put them back in. Put them in a different order because now I have to pull the carb off of the "50 and clean it out. Fuel line disinegrated and it ****ed some bad stuff into the float bowl. No big deal.
